Sharliza’s excitement for life comes out in her music and her songs have an uplifting and fun appeal with a lot of deep thought wrapped up in much of her lyric writing. We had a very interesting conversation with her about life and death. She spoke how she and others believe we all need to prepare ourselves for death even in this life, and that we do so by meditation and prayer and getting outside of ourselves and communing with God. It’s really a good thing to communicate with the one who made and loves us! She spoke about our need to come to a point where we will stop trying to hide from God and to also realize that we have to accept who we really are, our true self. We have the choice in our lives to accept who we are with positivity or negativity. We had a really great time in our conversation with her over her piece entitled, “Strange Things.”

“11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. 12 Yea, the darkness does not hide me from You, but the night shines as the day. Darkness and the light are both alike to You. ”
God is the creator. He has even established all of the laws of nature that we know.
I Chronicles 28:9b
“3…The Lord searches all hearts and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts: If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever.”
God knows our hearts and understands us, even with all our faults and failures and sins. He loves us. He wants us to seek Him. Let us seek Him now and be assured of our salvation in Him.
Deuteronomy 5:24-27

There are great experiences people have had with God that are recorded in the bible, and this one that is rarely spoken of. The people were so frightened they asked Moses to talk to God for them, but God really wants to know us all in a personal relationship with Him. We are to fear Him for He is God and the giver of our lives, but we are also to love Him and we will love Him the more we get to know Him and spend time with Him in prayer.
II Corinthians 12
“1 Boasting is necessary, though it is not profitable; but I will go on to visions and revelations of the Lord. 2 I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago—whether in the body I do not know, or out of the body I do not know, God knows—such a man was caught up to the third heaven. 3 And I know how such a man—whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, God knows— 4 was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which a man is not permitted to speak. 5 On behalf of such a man I will boast; but on my own behalf I will not boast, except in regard to my weaknesses. 6 For if I do wish to boast I will not be foolish, for I will be speaking the truth; but I refrain from this, so that no one will credit me with more than he sees in me or hears from me.” (NASB)

God formed a man’s body from the dust of the ground and breathed into it the
breath of life. And the man became a living person
“From the dust of the
ground” implies that there is nothing fancy about the chemical elements making
up our bodies. The body is a lifeless shell until God brings it alive with his
“breath of life.” When God removes his life-giving breath, our bodies once
again return to dust. Therefore, our life and worth come from God’s Spirit.
Many boast of their achievements and abilities as though they were the
originator of their own strengths. Others feel worthless because their
abilities do not stand out. In reality, our worth comes not from our achievements
but from the God of the universe, who chooses to give us the mysterious and
miraculous gift of life. Value life, as he does.

Corinthians 15:45-49
The Scriptures tell us, “The first man,
Adam, became a living person.” But the last Adam—that is, Christ—is a
life-giving Spirit. 46What came first was the natural body, then the spiritual
body comes later. 47Adam, the first man, was made from the dust of the earth,
while Christ, the second man, came from heaven. 48Every human being has an
earthly body just like Adam’s, but our heavenly bodies will be just like
Christ’s. 49Just as we are now like Adam, the man of the earth, so we will
someday be like Christ, the man from heaven.
Because Christ rose
from the dead, he is a life-giving spirit. This means that he entered into a
new form of existence. He is the source of the spiritual life that will result
in our resurrection. Christ’s new glorified human body now suits his new
glorified life—just as Adam’s human body was suitable to his natural life. When
we are resurrected, God will give us a transformed, eternal body suited to our
new eternal life
