Eric is a composer of many types of music from ambient to all types of electronic and even some great dance tunes! In our discussion today Eric spoke of his desire to see people get along with one another. He believes we should accept people for who they are no matter what their religion, race or belief and get together for a BBQ and a drink for some friendly talk. He says this should be normal for all of us and says it’s just common sense to get along. We agree and we really enjoyed talking with Eric and getting to know him a little more! We believe you will enjoy the conversation as well as his featured piece he entitled, “One World.”

ONE WORLD
Tolerance and “just getting along, despite fears and feelings” Harmony…
Scriptures from Interview
2
Timothy 3:1-3
“3 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. 2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good,” (NASB)
The Bible says that in the end times people will see to please themselves and their hearts will grow cold. We need to get the focus off of ourselves and love and help one another.

Scriptures from Interview
Genesis 4:2b-10
“ 2…And Abel was a keeper of flocks, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. 3 So it came about in the course of time that Cain brought an offering to the Lord of the fruit of the ground. 4 Abel, on his part also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of their fat portions. And the Lord had regard for Abel and for his offering; 5 but for Cain and for his offering He had no regard. So Cain became very angry and his countenance fell.6 Then the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen? 7 If you do well, [e]will not your countenance be lifted up? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door; and its desire is for you, but you must master it.” 8 Cain told Abel his brother. And it came about when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him. 9 Then the Lord said to Cain, “Where is Abel your brother?” And he said, “I do not know. Am I my brother’s keeper?” 10 He said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood is crying to Me from the ground.” (NASB)
From the beginning we see the story of the first 2 brothers, one of them killed the other over jealousy. This problem still exists today. We compare ourselves to others and covet the things another has. All of this brings division among us.
Jonah 1:1-3
“1 The word of the Lord came to Jonah the son of Amittai saying, 2 “Arise, go to Nineveh the great city and cry against it, for their wickedness has come up before Me.” 3 But Jonah rose up to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord. So he went down to Joppa, found a ship which was going to Tarshish, paid the fare and went down into it to go with them to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord.” (NASB)
The Lord wanted Jonah to go and tell the people of Nineveh to repent, but Jonah later in the book says he knows that God is merciful and will forgive them if they do. They were enemies and Jonah didn’t want to go there, but God was saying that He wants people to repent and to turn to Him, and he wants us all to get along.
Luke 12:51-53
“51 Do you suppose that I came to grant peace on earth? I tell you, no, but rather division;52 for from now on five members in one household will be divided, three against two and two against three. 53 They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.” (NASB)
John 15:18
18 “If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you."
Jesus knew that “the world” was against him and so would be against his followers and that there would be a division created because of this.
Matthew 19:8
“8 He said to them, “Because of your hardness of heart Moses permitted you to divorce your wives; but from the beginning it has not been this way.” (NASB)
God did not want divorce, but we the people insist on having our own way, and so because of “the hardness of our hearts,” God lets us do what we want, even when it is bad for us. He loves us and does not force Himself on us.
John 13:35
35 By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” (NASB)
We are all to love one another, and true followers of Christ do walk in love.
