#15 S2a Recordings II

What’s that we can see peeking out of that loud and aggressive music? A good heart and a man who is not afraid to speak his mind, and this makes for a great discussion!
We hope you will join us for Part II of our interview with Clive on his song, “Breakdown.”

Lead Scripture:
Psalms 116:3
3The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell got hold upon me; I found trouble and sorrow.  Then I called upon the name of the Lord; O Lord, I beseech thee, deliver my soul!”
King David wrote those words not only about his own life but about the suffering Jesus would go through many generations after him.  Somehow God does deliver us, and only he can take our suffering and use it for our good.  We may not understand it while we are in the midst of suffering, but he does do this.  He took the suffering of Jesus on the cross to do good for us and save our souls.

LYRICS
BREAKDOWN

break down or break through
am I going mad
delusional inspirational fad
that turn me in to a true believer
religious psychotic episode
hallucinatory receiver
my brain is the biggest deceiver
I wouldn't believe a word it ever told me
please all I want is you to hold me
but I keep talking to someone who isn't there
if they never listen
then why would they care
like a nothing
like a nobody like me
tell me where you want me to be
even if its in hell
then at least id know id be in the right place already
or voices that come from god via angels

Scriptures from Interview - Part II
Psalm 116:1-2
“1I love the Lord, because he has heard my voice and my supplications.  2Because he has inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.”
God always hears us, even when we don’t “feel” him.  We decide to believe, even when we feel broken down.  Our feelings do not change reality, and God is real, and he does love us!

Proverbs 17:22
22 A merry heart does good like a medicine: but a broken spirit dries the bones.”
Our heart is lighter when we look up to God and His hope fills us, but when we focus on our own thoughts our spirits become broken.
