#45 - Van Gabriel

What a super treat today to talk with the wonderful Gabriel Vanore and get to listen to him tell us a little bit of what goes on inside that creative mind of his!
Oh…I’ve always thought of him being quiet and I was happily surprised to find him full of great thought and conversation!  I was especially grateful for this because my fellow-host, Manasseh Nand, was absent for the first time in our podcast today.  Gabriel, who goes by Van Gabriel on SoundCloud is very well know for his music production and arrangement and works with many artists from around the world.  He gave us 3 clips of music with some of these artists and choose for discussion today the topic of “honesty.”  I am really impressed by the thoughtful and kind heart of this talented man and I know you will enjoy the discussion I had with him today on Treasure-Vessels.  :)

Lead Scripture:
I Corinthians 13:6b
Love … rejoices with the truth;
Truth and honesty is important to God, and he has put that importance inside of us too.  Love rejoices with the truth.

DISCUSSION
HONESTY

Scriptures from Interview:
God does not lie
Titus 1:2
in the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised long ages ago

In Contrast – the devil is the father of lies
John 8:44b
 You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
God gives us good instruction from his word and shows us in many places how important honesty is to him.

I Chronicles 28:9b
 “As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a whole heart and a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.

Psalm 43:1
deliver me from the unjust and deceitful man!

Proverbs 2:023
Differing weights are an abomination to the Lord,
And a false scale is not good.

Psalm 15
O Lord, who may abide in Your tent?
Who may dwell on Your holy hill?
2 He who walks with integrity, and works righteousness,
And speaks truth in his heart.
3 He does not slander with his tongue,
Nor does evil to his neighbor,
Nor takes up a reproach against his friend;
4 In whose eyes a reprobate is despised,
But who honors those who fear the Lord;
He swears to his own hurt and does not change;
5 He does not put out his money at interest,
Nor does he take a bribe against the innocent.
He who does these things will never be shaken.
We have all failed… take it to Jesus.  He forgives us and has been faithful in our place.  He’s been faithful for us!  God accepts us because of the faithfulness of Jesus!

Exodus 20:16
You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

Leviticus 19:11
Do not steal, do not lie, do not deceive one another.

Psalm 51:6
Surely you desire truth in the inner parts: you teach me wisdom in the inmost place.

Proberbs 4:23-27
23 Watch over your heart with all diligence,
For from it flow the springs of life.
24 Put away from you a deceitful mouth
And put devious speech far from you.
25 Let your eyes look directly ahead
And let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you.
26 Watch the path of your feet
And all your ways will be established.
27 Do not turn to the right nor to the left;
Turn your foot from evil.

Acts 24:16
In view of this, I also do my best to maintain always a blameless conscience both before God and before men.

I Corinthians 13:6
Love does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;

Philippians 4:8
8 Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.
