#03 Thomas Mancine

Thomas Mancine is someone who understands what its like to run from God’s love, and then finally “let God set him free.”
We humans seem to have mixed thoughts and emotions about God and his love, and we resist in our lives to follow him and accept this free gift.  When we realize that God really does love us and he accepts us through his Son, then we can relax and realize that its not all about rules and regulations, but its about love and relationship.  Listen to our discussion here with Thomas on our site or watch the video link of our discussion on his wonderful tune “All You Ever Wanted Was Me.”

Scriptures from Interview

Matthew 23:37³⁷ “ …How often I wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were unwilling.”

We humans have always been stubborn to turn to God.  We seem to prefer to want things our own way even though God holds his arms out to protect and love us.

Psalms 8:4
^4 “What is man that You take thought of him,
And the son of man that You care for him?
God is so big, and we so often think that our lives are insignificant to him.  But on the contrary, God thinks of all of us, every one of us and he cares for all of us.

Psalms 139:1-4

“O Lord, You have searched me and known me.² You know when I sit down and when I rise up;You understand my thought from afar.
You understand my thought from afar.³ You scrutinize my path and my lying down,
And are intimately acquainted with all my ways.
⁴ Even before there is a word on my tongue,

God knows all about us, and he loves us anyway.  Psalm 139 is all about how God knows you, every bit and part of you, every thought and every deed.  Nothing is hidden from him, and yet he still loves you and his thoughts towards you are precious and of love.

Luke 11:11-13
^11 “Now suppose one of you fathers is asked by his son for a fish; he will not give him a snake instead of a fish, will he? ¹² Or if he is asked for an egg, he will not give him a scorpion, will he? ¹³  If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?”

God IS good, and he wants to give good gifts to you.  Just ask him and believe and receive.

I Chronicles 28:9b
⁹ “…know the God of your father, and serve Him with a whole heart and a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will let you find Him;…”

God is good and he knows everything about you.  He wants us to choose life by choosing him.  God is love and he desires for you to see him and know him.  If you search for him then you will find him and know his joy and his love.
